When one thinks of wellness care, Escondido chiropractic therapy comes to mind. In fact, most integrative holistic centers utilize their Chiropractor as its director. Why?

Think for just a moment about the human body. The brain and the spinal cord are the only two internal organs that are directly located within the midline of the body. The brain then the spinal cord are the first systems to show up in a developing embryo from which all tissues and organs grow from. The brain and spinal cord control function, adaptation, and healing of every living tissue in the human body. As Grey’s Anatomy quotes:

“The nervous system controls and coordinates all organs and structures of the human body”

No matter what symptom or disease a patient has, one must first look to the spine. Thomas Edison was quoted as saying, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

There are a lot of alternative healing arts that are great: acupuncture, homeopathy, massage therapy, nutritional therapy, exercise therapy, etc. However, if one’s spine is out of alignment causing nerve irritation, as it exits the spine, that patient has no chance of healing. Those nerves that have become irritated eventually reach a target organ and if the nerve flow is compromised, that organ does not receive the life flow required to keep it alive and healthy.

Imagine an auto-accident victim that incurred a broken neck and is now paralyzed. This patient cannot be helped unless there was some way of repairing the spinal cord damage.

What about the in-betweeners? Let’s say the patient has an auto-accident but instead of breaking their neck, they suffer whiplash causing a misalignment thus putting pressure on the nerves. This misalignment is called a subluxation. Their condition will not truly get help unless they go to a precision-oriented chiropractor. This Escondido chiropractor, like myself, will correct the spinal misalignment and allow the nerve flow to come back into the body thereby allowing true healing. The subluxation does not have to be from an auto-accident.

It could be caused by a difficult birth when the doctor had to pull the baby out tweaking and misaligning the upper neck. Sports injuries are notorious for jarring the neck out of alignment.

How about occupational hazards? An example would be someone doing a repetitive motion or a person having a poor ergonomic sedentary position. If there is a subluxation or misalignment in the neck, no other type of alternative care or medicine will put that bone back in place.

Don’t get me wrong! I am very thankful to my fellow alternative healers. I am just saying that the patient should first be checked for spinal subluxation no matter what symptom or disease they may be experiencing. After the spinal correction has been made, the Escondido chiropractor will want to work with other providers to help the patient with the symptoms if the patient is staying in alignment.

Once the patient is holding their alignment, the chiropractor should refer them to an acupuncturist, homeopath, massage therapist, nutritional therapist, etc. as a parallel mode of action.

We can all work together for the sake of the patient.
